Gut focused physiotherapists have done further clinical training in bowels after they finished their postgraduate qualification in pelvic floor rehabilitation. Bowel retraining entails a complex analysis of lifestyle factors, stool consistency, pelvic floor function, social history, medical history, medications, rectal function. Therapists may or may not require rectal balloon biofeedback as an assessment tool for assessment or treatment too. At Lymph and Floor Physio, our physiotherapist is very passionate and has been working in this area in both public and private settings and helping many patients to reclaim their quality of life. Patient will need to expect your therapist to see you between 3-6 sessions over a year to achieve your goals.
