Lymph and Floor Physio

Passionate in treating cording and preventing lymphoedema in breast cancer patients and retraining bowel routine in patients with irritable bowel symptoms.

Recurrent anal fissures

Recurrent anal fissures describe repeated skin tears around the anus when patientsbears down excessively and strains to empty their bowels. Most likely, this happenswhen patients could not relax their pelvic floor muscles and the rectal contents are forced to push through the anus which has not relaxed adequately. Assessment is crucial to find out why the patient needs to push during defaecation and he or she cannot relax the anal passage adequately to allow the stool to come out without tearing the skin. At Lymph and Floor Physio, our physiotherapist is highly trained in our assessment through many years of expertise training. Treatment plan and strategies will be implemented with or without rectal balloon biofeedback training if necessary.
