Usually, most patients are given some time to book in some pelvic floor training prior to having their prostate removed. I encourage you to make use of this chance of connecting a pelvic floor physiotherapist and learn how to engage your pelvic floor muscles correctly. If you find yourself using too much abdominal effort when you try to engage your pelvic floor muscles, you can do more harm and cause more urinary leakage after the surgery unnecessary.
